Monthly President Message

Hello El Valle Members!

Hello EVAA Members.
Next Meeting is April 11th, 2024

Remember to bring to most meetings:

1.    A food item to donate to the church

2.    Your “Artist of the Month” art ready to hang and have your bio ready! PLEASE DO NOT VOTE BEFORE 1PM UNTIL ALL THE ART HAS ARRIVED!!!

NOTE: If you have already won this season, you cannot participate again until next season!

3.      Stuff for the sales or donation table this month – Remember to take home what you bring if not sold or picked up by other members.

Remember to sign-up for:

1.       1-month Library art hanging – Jordan Ross

2.       1-month Art hanging at the Rehab Center – Robin Hardy

3.       4- month Art hanging with local scenes from the Verde Valley except Sedona – Jordan Ross

Our 2 new Library walls for the “Artist of the Month” Show.

1.       Our new team in charge of the new “Artist of The Month” walls are AJ Pearl, Anna Blanchard and Ray Strom.

2.       The next show will be hung on Friday March the 15th at 9am.

3.       That will include the February “Artist of The Month” winner AND the March winner.

4.       Please make sure all the art will have wires for hanging, and preferable the same distance from the top of the frame.

I am so excited for our new opportunity to show the art of our EVAA members. If you are selected as “The Artist of The Month” in April, YOU will have your winning piece of hanging art hung on either the 10- or 12-foot wall, with your bio, and 3-5 more pieces of your art depending on their size and which wall. The SHOW will hang for 2 months. The March winner will also have a wall, but only for 1 month, when the April winner is selected. These 2 alternating mini shows are a wonderful addition to our other 2 walls already at the Cottonwood Library. Please think of ways we can promote them.

SHOW & TELL: will be our new member, Barbara Altevers. She does great Black & White       photography.

WORKSHOP PREVIEW: Shirley Eichten Albrecht on Gourd Weaving.

Remember that EVAA is run by volunteers. Please step up and help us out in order to continue providing these great opportunities for fellow artists in our community.                           Sincerely, Jette Monahan EVAA President
