Presidents Message
The EVAA Board of Directors met on Friday, March 6. They discussed the lease that has been offered by the Jerome Art Center (Old Jerome High School) at a special rate of $307.00 per month, for a room in Building A in which we can create a studio gallery, to be open to the public, for EVAA members to exhibit and sell their work. After a detailed review, the Board of Directors approved going ahead with the lease. The studio gallery is expected to be available on April. 1st, and ready for occupancy later in the month. Our current plan is to establish a group of charter members who will share responsibility for the monthly rent and staffing of the studio.
In addition to the charter members, who will have assigned permanent space, there will also be space available for additional EVAA artists and photographers to display and sell their works on a rotating basis. There will also be opportunities for pop-up shows, classes and play dates.
Eighteen members of El Valle responded with interest to an email that I sent in February to all El Valle members. If you are interested or have questions, please reach out to me and attend our organizational meeting tentatively scheduled for Friday, March 27th at 10:00 am in the Verde Hall at Mt. View United Methodist Church.
